The School and Philosophy
PMA, founded in 1958 by the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary, is a private, non-profit, co-educational, Catholic, college preparatory high school for students, grades 9-12. The student body represents 30 local communities throughout Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire. Students represent a variety of ethnic, religious, and socio-economic backgrounds. Admission to PMA is competitive and is based on a student’s past academic record, performance on the High School Placement Exam, and teacher and administrator recommendations. PMA offers the unique opportunity of high quality academic programs, which cultivate the intellectual, emotional, creative, spiritual, physical, and aesthetic faculties of its students. Encouraging positive self-image, self-discipline, leadership, and academic excellence are worthy goals that lead to the service of God and the betterment of humankind.
