Clubs and Organizations

Art Club:

Explore your creative side with the visual arts.

Dance Club:

Open to all students.  This is a student led group that promotes and supports all types of dance.

Drama Guild:

Play auditions are open to all students.  The drama department puts on the annual spring musical, the new fall drama and various monologue readings at open mic nights. 


Festival of Trees:         

Open to all students.  This club meets once a week to make Christmas ornaments for the Christmas tree that PMA submits to Methuen’s Festival of Trees Ceremony.  Held annually in November-December.

Friends of Mother Rivier:        

Open to all students.  This group will learn more about the life of Blessed Ann Marie Rivier and how she can be an inspiration for us today.  Preparing something to share with other students, opportunities for service, and hearing from several sisters about her life are just a few of the activities of this club.



Open to all students.  Interact stands for International Action and is sponsored by the Rotary Club to give students a chance to develop leadership and teamwork skills.  The club performs two service projects a year – one serves the school or community and the other furthers international understanding.

Music Guild:

Open to all students.  Chorus and band explores the different realms of the musical world.  Our performances include the annual cabaret, the winter and spring concerts and various open mic nights throughout the school year.


National Honor Society:         

Open to qualified sophomores, juniors, and seniors.  The Madonna Society Chapter of the National Honor Society serves to recognize outstanding students.  Its purposes are to create enthusiasm for scholarship; to stimulate a desire to render service; to promote leadership; to develop character.  NHS sponsors student study groups for all students after school.


Student Ambassador:         

This program seeks students who wish to serve as student representatives of the Academy.  Students accompany the Admissions Director to grammar school visits to share their experiences at PMA with prospective students.  Student Ambassadors serve as resources to answer any questions the prospective students may have about PMA.  Ambassadors are expected to attend a number of admissions related events throughout the year!


Student Council:         

Open to a limited number of students.    Student Council strives to bring enthusiasm and fun to the entire student body.  This is done by sponsoring various activities during the year such as Pajama Day, Crazy Day, Twin/Triplet Day, etc.  Working together as a team, Student Council creates “togetherness” throughout the school.

Technology Club:         

Open to all students.  This club is designed for students who want to increase their knowledge in modern computing.

Ukulele Club:

Let’s learn to play the ukulele!  Ukulele club members are a school concert hit year after year.



Open to all students.  The organization collects, complies, and publishes the record of the school’s activities for the year.
